Balsamic Vinaigrette
¼ cup shallots, chopped fine
2 TBS fresh garlic, chopped fine
2 TBS chopped fresh basil
½ cup Balsamic Vinegar
2 TBS Brown Sugar
2 TBS Honey
¼ tsp coarse black pepper
½ tsp Salt
1 cup light salad oil, like canola
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
Combine all ingredients (except oils) in a mixing bowl.
very slowly whisk in salad oil, then the extra virgin olive oil
Mix well & store in fridge for many weeks -serve at room temperature
